Mr. Dhruba Narayan Ghosh served as Senior Joint President of New Projects and R&D for Birla Corporation Limited and as its Joint President of Durga Hightech Cement, Durgapur Cement Works and New Projects and R&D. Mr. Ghosh was Joint Secretary of Tata Global Beverages Limited. Mr. Ghosh served various Central and State Government departments in various capacities from Financial Advisor to Additional Secretary and Secretary. He was Chairman of the State Bank of India and the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He is the founder chairman of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

He served as the Managing Director of Damodhar Cement & Slag Limited of ACC Limited until November 30, 2002. He is the Chairman of the Board of Sundaram BNP Paribas Asset Management Co. Ltd. and Gerdau Steel India Limited. He has been Chairman Emeritus of ICRA Limited since February 1, 2013. He served as the Chairman and Director of The Peerless General Finance & Investment Co Limited. He served as the Chairman and Director of ICRA Limited until February 1, 2013 and as the Chairman and Director of ICRA Management Consulting Services Limited until July 28, 2014.

He was the Chairman of Larsen & Toubro Limited and Phillips (India) Limited. He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Birla Corporation Limited since October 31, 2007. Mr. Ghosh has been an Independent Director of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited since 1989 and has served as a Director of Tata Global Beverages Limited until April 1, 2006. Mr. Ghosh holds a Master's degree in Economics from Calcutta University.
